|尼泊爾 十八世紀 濕婆與萬有母宗教畫兩幅 Such Nepalese ritual paintings offer glimpses into rarely seen esoteric iconography. One depicts Bhuvaneshvari rising from a yantra, with four arms, holding a sword, shield, lasso and elephant goad. The other depicts Shiva as Kali standing on a corpse over a funeral pyre, with four arms offering gestures (mudras) of charity and protection while holding a sword and severed head. A painting from the same group is preserved in the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (M.81.206.8).
