The striking heliogravure photographs in this very rare iconography of illness depict patients with muscular dystrophy, aortic aneurysm, athetosis, cancer, Graves disease, hemiparesis, myxedema, and Parkinson diesase, among other disorders. "The most extensive photographically illustrated nondermatological work to date.
