A rare early study on cancer by Charles Hewitt Moore, who studied in Berlin and Vienna before taking a position at Middlesex Hospital in London. He wrote on a number of general topics, including vascular pathology, studies of the lymphatic system, and pelvic anatomy, but he is perhaps best known for his specialization in the treatment of cancer using surgery and Zinc Chloride directly applied to tumors. Rare, and previously unknown at auction. "Modern surgical treatment of cancer is based upon principles laid down by Moore" (See Garrison-Morton 2619); see Gernsheim 361.
