郭尚先，字元聞，又字蘭石。福建莆田縣人。清朝官員、書法家。嘉慶十四年(1809年)進士，官至大理寺卿。精於鑒別，工書法，學歐陽詢，以骨力見長，並作小楷。臨摹諸名家，幾可亂真。文淵閣校理知制誥兼修國史、郭尚先印時道光壬午年，偶得閒時，觀柳帖乘興書於蘭香書屋。郭尚先。夫京殿苑獵，述行敍志，並體國經野，義尚光大。既履端於唱敍，亦歸餘於總亂。敍以建言，首引情本，亂以理篇，迭致文契。按那之卒章，閔馬稱亂也。
