A George II joined fruitwood bureau, circa 1750


Having a single-piece top board with show dove-tail joints, a cleated sloping fall with double-beaded applied edge, enclosing a fitted interior of pigeon-holes and small drawers around a central cupboard, all behind a sliding cover opening into the drawer below, which is flanked by two small drawers acting as lopers, three further long graduated drawers below, all drawers with bold cockbeading, on shaped bracket feet, 91cm wide x 51cm deep x 106.5cm high, (35 1/2in wide x 20in deep x 41 1/2in high)
