|Provenance:Reputedly from Skibo Castle to the west of Dornoch in the Highland county of Sutherland, Scotland overlooking the Dornoch Firth. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, it was the home of industrialist Andrew Carnegie (1835-1919), who much-improved and extended the dilapidated property.
