屏心通体髹红漆，屏心正面以螺钿镶嵌百寿文，屏上的「寿」字，全部采用不同书体的篆字书写，排列整齐，纵横成行，字体大小肥瘦随器身的凹凸曲折而加大或缩小。紫檀框浅浮雕变形螭龙纹，富有宫廷色彩。以「百寿」作纹饰的情况始于康熙，并为以后各时期所采用。此挂屏工艺精致，漆层肥厚，色彩纯正，吉祥福气。参见《明清宫廷家俱大观（下）》，页487。
