轿箱选用黄花梨，箱面独板，木材纹理美观，铜饰保存完好。素面不施雕饰，只有顶盖，边缘起线。箱体下部的两部均向内凹，两端留有侧室，以平活盖相掩。此类木箱轻巧灵便，多放在官轿之中，凸出的两端多搭在轿杆儿上。保证轿箱使用时不晃动。箱子上半部较长，可以放纸张或卷轴之类，下半部较短，可以放官印或毛笔应用之物，十分便捷。
