The 'Batavia ware' teapot is decorated to both sides with leaf-shaped panels enclosing iron red and black-enamelled flowers, with a further panel below the spout enclosing persimmons. the domed cover is similarly decorated and is surmounted by a lotus bud finial. The famille rose teapot is boldly decorated with large scattered peony sprays amongst scattered flowers below a diaper band with half-floral cartouches. The rim is decorated with further flower sprays and is surmounted by an iron-red lotus bud finial.
