The 'Batavia ware' teapot is decorated to both sides with leaf-shaped panels enclosing iron red and black-enamelled flowers, with a further panel below the spout enclosing persimmons. the domed cover is similarly decorated and is surmounted by a lotus bud finial. The famille rose teapot is boldly decorated with large scattered peony sprays amongst scattered flowers below a diaper band with half-floral cartouches. The rim is decorated with further flower sprays and is surmounted by an iron-red lotus bud finial. Condition: The 'Batavia ware' teapot: Appears to be in overall good condition. 18.5 cm. wide, 14.5 cm. high The famille rose teapot: The teapot and cover appear to be in overall condition with some minor chips and wear to the enamel as expected. 12.5 cm. high Origin: China Period: 18th century Sizes: 14.50 cm.
