The exterior is delicately decorated with a scattered design of roundels of varying geometric and floral patterns,executed in underglaze-blue outlines and coloured in different tones of green, red, yellow and pale aubergine enamels. The base bears an apocryphal Qianlong seal mark. Catalogue note: Compare a pair of doucai bowls with the same design dated to the Yongzheng period from the Meiyintang Collection sold at Sotheby's Hong Kong, 7 April 2011, lot 6.
