Of slender pear-shaped form standing on a spreading foot, each vase is decorated with two qilin mask handles to the neck, the neck is decorated with a honeycomb band, and the shoulder and flaring foot are decorated with with stylised beast bands on a leiwen ground. Catalogue notes: Compare two pairs of vases of similar form with loose ring handles sold at Christie's South Kensington, 29 July 2014, lot 39, and 18 March 2015, lot 614. Provenance: from a private Dutch collection. Condition: There is no baseplate. There are various dents and wear consistent with age. Origin: China Period: Yuan dynasty (1271-1368) Sizes: 30.00 cm.
