Modelled on an archaic original, the wide-mouthed vessel is decorated with two upright posts surmounted by lotus bud caps, the body is decorated with a leiwen band, and it stands on three cabriole feet emanating from beast heads. There is a single handle to the side emanating from a beast head. The exterior is inlaid with silver wire and decorated with leafy grape vines.
