By Joei, Edo period (1615-1868), early 19th centuryThe oval tsuba bearing an ishime ground, carved and inlaid with Kan'u and Chohi plotting over a low table, the reverse with a carved pine tree, details in gilt-metal and copper, signed Joei with a kao. 7.3cm (2 7/8in).
