刘铁平，1946年生，江苏无锡人，国家一级美术师。自幼酷爱文史书画，少年时博临汉碑及先秦文字。擅四体书法，篆、隶俱佳。应文化部、上海市文化局、日本每日新闻社等邀请，曾在中国美术馆、上海、江苏美术馆，名古屋博物馆等举办个人书展及楹联书展。人民日报及海峡之声电台曾作长篇连载，以介绍其艺术成就。他是文化部最早向日本推荐的80位书家之一(1978年)。|
