方罐以整料和阗白玉雕成，仿古式风格，器分盖与瓶两部分。盖作覆斗貌，分三层，上层雕刻方钮，方钮下方雕刻俯莲瓣纹，第三层以减地浮雕方式雕刻焦叶文，直腹，下略收，潜圈足，两侧龙耳衔活环。腹部以减地隐起技法满饰具有青铜古彝器风韵的兽面纹，兽面狰狞威凛，惟气韵典雅，具典型乾隆仿古风格。
