水丞以白玉为材，质地温润洁白，采用镂雕、浮雕等工艺雕以莲叶形，绽放的莲花、待放的花苞与莲蓬构成一束莲的样式，巧雕叶茎与嫩叶盘绕于下为足，造型设计精巧。莲叶线条舒展逼真，内外脉络凸露自然，似有微风拂过之灵动感，花苞左右婆娑，莲杆柔和轻摆。另有青蛙于莲叶之上，伸展后足似欲跃起，姿态灵动，使得整器意趣盎然。珍贵的材料配上出色的琢刻技艺，充分反映出乾隆宫廷制玉的工艺水准及审美趣味，艺术价值极高。
