此壶壶身浑圆饱满，线条畅快飞扬，并配以朴拙的壶嘴与壶把。壶嘴三弯，婉转悠扬，出水流畅。通体髹黑漆，漆色浓郁如墨，以粉彩绘饰“菊花"图，金菊盛开，绘饰精湛用料奢华，精工细作，黑色与色彩间，灿烂间更添绚丽，实在是一件赏心悦目的收藏佳作。 紫砂上大漆是乾隆时期为了满足帝皇的需求，进而流行的一种装饰手法。此壶虽历经岁月，但漆壳的保留能如此完好实属不易。
