释文：名都建自大秦时，丝路由兹达泰西。千古风云地中海，奔涛飞梦入吾诗。（古代东方货物多由此转运罗马诸地，西方称中国通西域之商路曰丝路。）行宫别殿竞奢华，取尽锱铢作帝家。专欲终难干众怒，锦帆真是到天涯。（亚历山大海滨有东西二行宫，穷极奢侈。一九五二年七月政变，国王法鲁克由西行宫乘船出走。）上款人周乃空，原安徽省泾县宣纸厂副厂长，同众多书画家相交甚笃，所得书画佳作甚丰。
