The majestic figure is cast seated regally with feet pendant in pralambapadasana, European posture, resting on a separately cast lotus pedestal attached to an elaborate rectangular plinth, decorated with pairs of animated lions flanking an altar of 'flaming' jewels, the Bodhisattva with hands in dharmacakra mudra, a gesture of 'turning of the wheel of Law', eyes slightly downcast to provide a benevolent expression.
