The vase is comprised of an upper removable section and the vase itself. The vase stands on a spreading foot decorated with two registers of gilt nodes, the body is decorated with an applied s-shaped spout emerging from the gaping jaws of a moulded makara, the body is decorated with the bajixiang (Eight Buddhist Emblems) amongst lotus scrolls below bands of flowers and peaches at the neck.
