A Spanish Hispano-Moresque charger, probably Valenican, early 16th centuryDecorated in brown lustre and dark blue, a dragon on the central boss, enclosed by panels of foliage and an inscription, the rim with spirally-moulded gadroons with alternating scale-ground, floral and solid ground decoration, blue bands to the rims, the reverse decorated in lustre with a broad band of foliage enclosing concentric circles, the rim pierce with one hole for hanging, 40cm diam. (haircrack to rim, rim chips and minor wear)
