A documentary Meissen Hausmaler saucer, circa 1740Painted in the workshop of Johann Friedrich Metzsch in Bayreuth, a flower spray in the centre and a border of stylised flower heads and scrolls with floral swags around the gilt-edged rim, the reverse inscribed in blue enamel 'M/ Bayr.', 13.2cm diam., crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, impressed numeral注脚Provenance:Luise Hofmann Collection, sold in these Rooms, 16 May 2007, lot 60A similar saucer with the same marks was sold by Christie's London, 11 December 2000, lot 296.
