Two Egyptian terracotta shabtis
New Kingdom, 19th-20th Dynasty, circa 1292-1070 B.C.
Comprising one for Hu-khepesh, in typical mummiform pose, the white body with red markings imitating the linen wrappings of the mummy, the crossed hands holding hoes, a seed bag behind the shoulders, a column of text on the front of the legs for the owner, painted with ochre, red and black pigments; and another smaller shabti, in typical mummiform pose, with remains of text down the front, now illegible, and white, ochre, red and black pigments, 17.8cm and 11.3cm high respectively (2)注脚Provenance:
