赏析：此件玉马小巧精致，由纯正的和阗黄玉圆雕而成，玉质细腻凝润。玉马呈回首侧卧状，前腿盘卧，后腿外蹬。肢体健硕，姿态恬静平和，鬃毛与马尾雕刻细致灵动，尾巴绕于腹下，造型准确写实。马历来被赋以权力和财富的象征，工匠以娴熟的技法雕琢出马的翻滚状态，并从独特的姿态中体现了马与生俱来的性格和力量，可谓匠心独运。此件小马选料上乘名贵，琢刻技艺精湛，既可把玩，亦可置于书案用作镇纸。带红木器座。注：旧金山亚洲艺术博物馆藏有同类器物，可供参考。
