水洗以白玉质地雕琢而成，玉料细润，光气自然，表面带有皮沁。器身椭圆半球形，外侧攀附一大一小双龙，龙纹威严传神、蜿蜒灵动，敛沿弧腹、内卧足底；整体造型古朴大气、雕琢简练有力，器体厚重而工艺粗犷豪放。古人将水洗视为文房第五宝，可见此类器物自古颇受文人喜爱，十分适合作为收藏陈设。
