A copper and iron fountain, 20th century, formed from a large copper copper mounted on painted iron supports, below a pressed metal crown and three lion masks from which water would emit, supported on three curved painted iron supports, complete with pump, 190cm high 108cm diameter Provenance: The Collection of the late Brian and Josie Lister, The Old Rectory, Widdington. Designed by the late Mr Brian Lister and manufactured by Geroge Lister Engineering Ltd., Cambridge. Brian Lister was one of Britain's foremost post-war designers and builders of competition cars. From its inception in 1954, the 'Lister' quickly became a benchmark for the front-engine racing car; it had few competitors.
