A 19th Century walnut, tulipwood crossbanded, inlaid and gilt metal mounted teapoy:, of serpentine outline in the French taste, the quarter veneered hinged top bordered with boxwood lines and with a brass beaded edge, enclosing a fitted interior with three apertures, having shaped apron sides on cabriole legs, headed with cabochon, foliate and mask ornament, terminating in sabots, 45cm (1ft 5 3/4in).
