A Victorian ebonised and partly gilt overmantel:, of large size, the shaped cornice of broken outline with foliate moulded band and palmette and foliate cresting, the frieze with beaded panels and spiral ribbon moulding, centred by a rosette, the mirror plate flanked by stiles with pendant husks and flowerheads and Japanese portrait plaques and with acanthus scrolls and paterae at the base, 203cm (6ft 7 3/4in) x 165cm (5ft 5in).
