是书极初印，品相极佳，据宋本刊印，为通志堂经解之一，通志堂经解辑刻多以宋元秘本作底本，内容之精历来为学者称道，此集说为宋人卫湜治礼记二十余载，集《礼记》诸家传注而成，为宋代秘本。其版刻风貌开清代写刻之滥觞，亦为清初写刻本代表作。版心正面刻通志堂，背面刻刊工姓名，刊刻精审。乾隆帝认为此书荟萃诸家，便将书板纳入内府修整后重印。参阅：《清代内府刻书图录》第20页、《中国古籍善本总目》第5页清康熙通志堂经解本
