是书为清代“四销夏”中成书最早者，为清初收藏家孙承泽晚年退居后评点其所见晋唐以来名人书画之作。全书八卷，卷一至卷三皆孙承泽所藏晋唐至明代书画真迹；四至七卷皆古石刻，每条先标其名，并摘录精彩的题跋，而各评骘于其下；第八卷为寓目记，皆为他人所藏，而曾为孙氏所见者。议论中间有考据，鉴裁精审，叙次雅洁，犹有米芾、黄长睿之遗风。此书原无刻本，鲍廷博于吴门借钞得之，并加以精心校勘，由余集、张宾鹤手书上版，慈水郑弗人捐赀以助其成。清乾隆二十六年知不足斋写刻本
