A Tibetan or Himalayan metal Phurbu (ritual dagger thought to have been introduced by Padmasambhava); with typical tripartite blade and three head deity finial, 21 cm high, 19th CenturyFor another example from this genre, see the Tibetan phurbu illustrated on page 315 of 'Desire and Devotion/The John and Berthe Ford Collection' by Pratapaditya Pal. The same work (op. cit. page 254) also illustrates a Chinese textile of Dorje Phurpa, the Tibetan Deity considered as a manifestation of the phurbu itself.. Please note that there are some areas of damage or deterioration to this purbha; this includes: areas of fatigue, verdigris or other green agent encrustation, and bruising or wear.
