A garniture of three Spode match pots circa 1821-23 of shape, each pot applied with three bands of beaded white pearls, decorated with panels of brightly painted shells and coral, the reverses gilded with formal grotesque motifs including birds and baskets, painted 'Spode' in iron red and marked with pattern number 3236, 11.5cm high and 16cm high (3) Provenance: With H.Blairman, purchased in May 1928 for £27.10s. Exhibited: Spode-Copeland 1765-1965, Frankfurt 1965, catalogue fig.37, also Spode Bicentenary Exhibition 1970, no.290. Illustrated by Leonard Whiter, Spode (1970), pl.279. Sold in 2013 at Bonhams Trelissick House Sale, lot 554.
