A George II design gilt framed pier glass / wall mirror, the plate set within a shaped aperture with scrolling acanthus terminals and shallow moulded border, with a frieze and apron decorated with highly detailed shallow moulded sweeping scrolled acanthus motifs, surmounted with a raised cartouche below a shell finial flanked by a symmetrical scrolling cut border, the base with scrolling outline and a further detailed central shell motif, the plate measuring 60 x 40 cm, 96 x 52 cm total.
