An unusual 18th century vernacular gothic Windsor armchair , the back and arms principally in yew wood, the central pierced splat with pointed apertures framed within a pointed arch,, united by further pierced supports before simple tapering arms with swept supports above a pointed saddled elm seat, with a fluted border, raised on cabriole legs united by hay rake stretchers, 107 cm high, 53 cm wide (maximum) seat height 47 cm. Provenance: Property of a private Shropshire gentleman.
