沈周（1427～1509），字启南，号石田，晚号白石翁，江苏长洲人。虽经荐举，隐居不出。擅画山水、花鸟，画名甚大，自成风格，形成“吴门派”，与文徵明、唐寅、仇英合称“明四家”。诗宗白居易、陆游、苏轼。有《石田集》。苏宗仁(1899～1984)，又名 苏厚如，北京人，原籍安徽黄山市黄山区。著名收藏家、文物鉴赏家。收藏甚丰。其中捐献给中国历史博物馆的“北宋百一砚”影响最大。
