Superbly modeled with a flattened globular body rising from a short unglazed foot to a waisted neck and gourd mouth-rim, the neck flanked by a pair of ruyi strap handles, each detailed with a under-glaze band enclosing foliage and a floret, one side of the body decorated with a large medallion enclosing an iron-red scene of rural village and landscape, the reverse with a similarly medallion enclosing an imperial poem followed by two seal marks reading Qian and Long respectively, the sides and neck of the vessel decorated in the under-glaze cobalt blue palette with undulating lotus scrolls, the sides further detailed with ruyi heads interlinked with the foliate scrolls, all below a pendent ruyi border encircling the neck. Qianlong mark on base. Early 19th century. 13" H.
