盘菱花口，弧腹，高圈足。腹内壁以金彩为地绘折枝瑞果纹，盘心开光绘读书图，仕女造型与同时代画家改琦、王素类似。人物纤毫毕现，印证了“嘉庆所绘人物亦有极精者”的记载。外壁施蓝料彩，通景绘西园雅集图。足壁绘绿地折枝花卉纹。此盘装饰繁密，手法多样，用料奢华，高贵典雅，赏心悦目，为道光御窑集众多装饰手法为一炉的典范之作。
