万历一朝，内府所出御瓷制样皆是百般奇巧，或玲珑，或方器，或大缸，往往竭众匠之力尚难为之，更有烧造难成之苦，百中不得一二之虞。本品制作工艺复杂，造型设计精巧新颖，花饰繁复多变，盒身外壁与盖顶下方均饰菱花缠枝莲纹，中央于银锭形内绘二龙争珠。青花双线框内书“大明万历年制”款，书写朴拙有力，章法自然。
