Painted Dollhouse-form Child's Cupboard, 19th century, the peaked removable facade above two paneled doors opening to six compartments, two of which are joined by an arched doorway, the sides with glazed glass panels, painted overall light purple with windows and architectural details in black and white, inscribed "A birthday present for Cara and Therese Hall from their Grandmama Hall, October 1, 185-," (imperfections), overall ht. 60 3/4, wd. 37, dp. 20 1/2 in. Provenance: Descended in the family of Abraham Oakey Hall, mayor of New York City from 1869-72; Stephen Score.
