A YELLOW METAL HEADPIECE WITH RUBY-ENCRUSTED CRESCENT-SHAPED PENDANT
Northern India, 20th century
Characterised by a straight band of oblong-shaped yellow metal caparisoned clusters, pierced with swastika motif, sewn onto a deep pink cotton cloth attached to a red-stained cotton string, in the centre a caparisoned crescent-shaped pendant encrusted with rubies, 25cm diam.
Provenance: UK private collection since 1940's - 1950's.
