AN ANTIQUE SILK TABRIZ RUG, NORTH-WEST PERSIA approx: 4ft.10in. x 3ft.6in.(147cm. x 107cm.) The field with bold serrated palmettes and various floral motifs. Apricot mihrab above. Surrounded by inscription cartouche border between floral and s-motif stripes. This rug has slight wear in places and few splits. Selvages rebound. Ends with very slight loss to the guars stripes. Very good example for this type. Despite imperfection this rug still retains a pleasant look.
