A Bristol delftware Adam and Eve charger c.1750, probably Richard Frank, Redcliff Back, depicting the Temptation in the Garden of Eden, the first couple flanking the Tree of Knowledge around which the serpent coils, proffering the Forbidden Fruit to Eve, predominantly painted in blue with yellow and red detailing, the leaves sponged in green, the rim with a sponged blue border, some rim faults, 33.5cm. Provenance: acquired from Sotheby's, 15th December 1964, lot 47.
