A FRAGMENTARY STEEL CHAMFRON Ottoman Turkey, 17th century Of typical shape, the forehead engraved with the tamga(mark) of the Ottoman Arsenal based in the church of St. Irene in Istanbul, built on orders of Constantine I, rebuilt by Justinian I and converted into a weapons repository by Sultan Mehmed II (1432 - 1481), 51.5cm long.
