A SILVERREPOUSSÉ LIDDED BOX Ottoman Turkey, 19th century Tureen-shaped, with a squashed hemispherical body on an oval straight base, the tent-like top with a bulbous finial embellished with applied metal wire and cast floral and avian decorations, the sides with two oval handles, the exterior highly chased with rows of rosettes, floral festoons and lush palmette leaves, all applied elements stamped with sahand tughramarks, the base with French import marks, 25.8cm x 24cm.
