TWO SILVER SNUFFBOXES Ottoman Provinces, one dated 1822, the latter 18th - 19th century Comprising a lobed cartouche-shaped snuffbox, the body engraved with a large vase with floral bouquet surrounded by brick buildings, below it an Armenian inscription and the date 1822, on the hinged lid a large brick building complex resembling a Christian church or basilica, below it a dove, 4.6cm x 5.2cm; and an octagonal silver filigree box with a central amber-looking bead, 4cm x 5.5cm.
