AN EQUESTRIAN PORTRAIT OF A NOBLEMAN WITH ATTENDANT AND DOG Jodhpur, Rajasthan, North Western India, late 18th century Pen, white wash, brush and ink drawing on paper, the horizontal composition depicting a rider with a high turban on a large horse, a whip in his hand, galloping serenely followed by an attendant and dog, the reverse with a pen and ink study in the Persian manner of a mounted archer and a kneeling archer, 15.5cm x 20.8cm.
