Ce portrait particulièrement exceptionnel de par la grâce et la finesse du trait se distingue par la pureté du coloris et les jeux de transparence.
La sensualité de cette ode à la féminité est rendue avec délicatesse en laissant découvrir la poitrine de son modèle. Un autre atout de séduction est mis en valeur ici, il s’agit de la longue chevelure noire de cette jeune femme, qui vient trancher avec les couleurs pâles, le rosé, le jaune et la pureté du blanc de sa silhouette gracile. Son modèle ne s’abandonne pas entièrement au regard inquisiteur du spectateur. En effet, l’éventail, objet raffiné de la garde-robe féminine disposé au premier plan, pose un voile avec pudeur sur l’intimité du modèle.
Bien plus qu’une scène de la vie quotidienne vietnamienne, il est possible de voir à travers la représentation de cette jeune femme, une réécriture de l’iconographie occidentale représentant Eve. Présentée en cheveux et dans une nudité délicate, seule dans une nature foisonnante suggérée par les bambous de l’arrière-plan, Le Pho interpelle le spectateur et opère un doux mélange de la culture traditionnelle vietnamienne et de l’art occidental en réécrivant le mythe du Jardin d’Eden.

This portrait is particularly remarkable for its graceful, refined line, enriched by the purity of the colours and play on transparency. The sensuality of this ode to femininity is expressed with delicacy, allowing the viewer to glimpse the model’s breast. Another attribute of seduction is highlighted here: the woman’s long black hair, which contrasts strikingly with the pale pink, yellow and white of her graceful figure. She does not abandon herself entirely to the viewer’s curious gaze, because the fan, a refined item in the female wardrobe, unfolds in the foreground, modestly veiling her intimacy.
Far more than an everyday scene in Vietnamese life, the depiction of this young woman can be seen as a reinterpretation of the Western iconography of Eve. Depicting her with long hair in a delicate state of nudity, alone in the lush natural surroundings suggested by the bamboos in the background, Le Pho questions the viewer and subtly mingles traditional Vietnamese culture with Western art, rewriting the myth of the Garden of Eden.

Bức chân dung đặc biệt này nhờ vào sự duyên dáng và tinh tế của các đường nét được làm phong phú bởi sự tinh khiết của màu sắc và kỹ thuật trong suốt. Sự gợi cảm nữ tính này được thể hiện tinh tế bằng cách phô bày bộ ngực của người mẫu. Một nét quyến rũ khác được chấm phá ở đây, đó là mái tóc đen dài của cô gái trẻ, được thể hiện với màu sắc nhạt, hồng, trắng vàng và màu trắng tinh khiết của thân hình mảnh mai của cô. Người mẫu của ông không hoàn toàn phơi bày trước ánh mắt tò mò của người xem. Với mái tóc và trong một hình ảnh khỏa thân tinh tế, một mình trong một thiên nhiên phong phú với những cây tre đằng sau, Lê Phổ thách thức người xem và tạo ra một sự pha trộn ngọt ngào của văn hóa truyền thống Việt Nam và nghệ thuật phương Tây bằng cách tái tạo huyền thoại từ vườn địa đàng.

Le Pho
Le Pho, né en 1907 à Hadong et mort en 2001 à Paris, est un artiste majeur de l’art asiatique du XXe siècle. D’abord autodidacte, il intègre la première promotion de l’Ecole des Beaux-Arts d’Hanoï et en sort diplômé en 1930. Victor Tardieu, le fondateur de l’Ecole, émerveillé par le talent du jeune peintre, le prend sous son aile en le choisissant comme assistant pour l’Exposition Coloniale de Paris en 1931. Il profite de ce voyage en Europe pour se rendre en Belgique, aux Pays-Bas et en Italie. Ce désir de découverte et de voyage ne se borne pas au continent européen, il part en Chine en 1934 et s’installe à Pékin pour y étudier la peinture traditionnelle chinoise. Il s’installe définitivement à Paris en 1937.
Son œuvre s’inspire des techniques classiques de l’art vietnamien, tout en VIETNAM LÊ PHỔ © DR Signature réinterprétant, à sa manière l’art chinois et le renouveau de l’art impressionniste et moderne européen. Il parvient alors à atteindre un équilibre unique et personnel empreint de poésie et de douceur.

Le Pho (born in Hadong in 1907; died in Paris in 2001) was a major figure in 20th century Asian art. Initially self-taught, he was part of the first intake of students at the Fine Arts School of Hanoi, graduating in 1930. Victor Tardieu, the school’s founder, was deeply impressed by the young painter’s talent and took him under his wing, taking him as his assistant to the Paris Colonial Exhibition of 1931. Le Pho took advantage of this trip to visit Belgium, the Netherlands and Italy. His thirst for discovery and travel was not restricted to the European continent; he also set out for China in 1934 and went to live in Beijing to study traditional Chinese painting. He moved permanently to Paris in 1937
His work was inspired by classic Vietnamese techniques while reinterpreting Chinese art and the revival of European Impressionist and modern art in his own way. He succeeded in achieving a unique and personal balance imbued with a gentle, poetic spirit.

Lê Phổ, sinh năm 1907 tại Hà Đông và mất năm 2001 tại Paris, là một nghệ sĩ lớn của nghệ thuật châu Á của thế kỷ XX. Ban đầu là tự học, ông gia nhập khóa đầu tiên của Trường Mỹ thuật tại Hà Nội và tốt nghiệp năm 1930. Victor Tardieu, người sáng lập của Trường, ngạc nhiên bởi tài năng của họa sĩ trẻ, đã giúp đỡ ông bằng cách chọn ông làm trợ lý cho triển lãm thuộc địa ở Paris vào năm 1931. Ông tận dụng chuyến đi châu Âu này để thăm Bỉ, Hà Lan và Ý. Mong muốn khám phá và du lịch này không chỉ giới hạn ở lục địa châu Âu, ông đã đến Trung Quốc vào năm 1934 và chuyển đến Bắc Kinh để nghiên cứu hội họa truyền thống Trung Quốc. Ông định cư lâu dài tại Paris từ năm 1937.

Tác phẩm của ông được lấy cảm hứng từ các kỹ thuật cổ điển của nghệ thuật Việt Nam, trong khi diễn giải lại theo cách riêng nghệ thuật Trung Quốc và trường phái ấn tượng mới và nghệ thuật hiện đại của châu Âu. Ông hướng tới và đạt được sự cân bằng giữa tính độc đáo và tính cá nhân với chất thơ và sự ngọt ngào
