A late 19th Century French kingwood, floral marquetry and gilt metal mounted serpentine fronted bombe commode in the Louis XV taste:, surmounted by a panel of rouge variegated marble with a moulded edge, containing three long drawers decorated with scrolling floral sprays within boxwood lines, having gilt brass acanthus scroll handle pulls, the sides each decorated with a cornucopia of flowers and foliage, within cartouche lines, having a shaped apron on splayed legs, 74cm (2ft 5in) wide.
