A black lacquered suit-of-armour with dark blue cords (tetsu kuro’urushinuri mogami nimaidô gusoku).A thirty two plate sujikabuto-helmet with black lacquered small fukikaeshi and four neckguards (shikoro). The maedate consists of three rhombuses laying over each other (kasanu sankaibishi), the crest of the Ogasawara-clan.A black lacquered facial mask that covers the chin (tsubakurobō) and a three-piece gorget (nodowa). Two piece cuirass with vertical laced horizontal strips and in front a red tassel (mogami nimaidô). Six piece gilded sode as shoulder protection and Japanese mail and vertikal metal strips over blue fabric as arm protection (shinokote). From the cuirass hangs a skirt consisting in front of three four-piece kusazuri and at the back four five-piece kusazuri. The cuirass has at the back hooks for a banner. The haidate that cover the upper legs have black and gold metal karuta-plates nailed together. Dark red-brown lacquered metal vertical strips cover the lower legs (shinosuneate).
