Each delicately enamelled to the exterior with a magpie perched on a blossoming wisteria branch above a flowering rose bush, with an oval cartouche in iron-red and gilt enclosing the characters 'Dayazhai' flanked by dragons under the flared, octagonal rim, all against a lemon-yellow ground.
